This project was critical to catching and treating my own heart disease.

My name is Kevin Woolley. I’m the Founder and Lead Analyst at BlueRipple Health. My background is in industry analysis, including equity research at Latin America’s top investment bank and business strategy projects across three continents. The common thread has always been digging into complex systems to find what matters.

In 2023, I turned that lens toward healthcare.

Personal reasons led me to research heart disease. What I found was troubling. The information available to patients was incomplete. Not wrong, exactly. Just narrow. Standard guidance showed options your doctor might mention, filtered through insurance formularies and institutional protocols. That guidance didn’t show the full landscape.

So I did what I’ve always done. I researched and mapped the ecosystem. Every diagnostic approach, every treatment pathway, the economic incentives shaping recommendations, the gaps between clinical guidelines and emerging evidence.

What I found changed my life.

I used this research to reveal my own heart disease that multiple cardiologists would likely have missed. Not because they weren’t competent. Because I was asking for tests that aren’t part of standard screening. Tests I only knew to request because I had done the research myself.

Catching this disease 10 to 15 years before symptoms would have appeared made aggressive treatment possible. A cardiologist recently told me, with some dark humor, that cancer would probably get me now. Heart disease was no longer a serious threat.

The leading cause of death worldwide had become something that likely wouldn’t kill me. The only difference was information.
